Mothers

Mothers-coverA play about mothers and daughters, commissioned by Bill Cosby. Based on the lives of two real women he encountered while on comedy tour, the play combines their stories; a white woman from rural Kentucky, and a Japanese women living in urban Chicago, both with mixed race teenage daughters who have black fathers.

Set in the Sixties, “Mothers,” deals with struggles of class, race and environment, and the journey they must make to accept each other and themselves.
